Want to slim down your waistline? That’s great! Not only will you fit better into your clothing, but you’ll also be doing your health a great service. Within this site, my goal is to help you find tips and tricks to shedding weight in your belly area. Dieting is a very negative word and can leave you feeling extremely frustrated. So try and think of it as a lifestyle and not just food deprivation. Eating the right foods in the right combination can help you feel full and shed those unwanted pounds. If you can come to peace with that idea, then you’re well on your way to success.
Want a slimmer waist and trim abs?
You’ve got to master the food. The body is scientific and dropping pounds really is a result of doing the math. Losing weight is based on a simple mathematical formula…calories in versus calories out. You need to burn about 3500 calories more than you consume in order to lose one pound of body fat. And let’s face it, it’s much easier to eat less to get that deficit than it is to exercise it off!
Calories Consumed – Calories Burned = Net Weight Gain or Net Weight Loss
Now, doctors and health experts recommend a weight loss of about 1-2 pounds per week. So don’t go crazy with calorie deprivation or you could get yourself into trouble. Just keep in mind that if you eat 3500 calories less per week, you’ll lose one pound of fat. And start simple…that may mean a few simple food tweaks at the beginning (like avoiding juice or sodas each day). Little changes add up to big results over the long haul.
My #1 Trick to Slimming Down Quickly
Avoid simple sugars in liquid form. Simply put, stop drinking juice, soda and alcohol. They are all unnecessary forms of quick, calorie-dense foods that your body doesn’t need. Think of eating a piece of fruit instead. At least then you’ll get fiber, vitamins and minerals that will help your body and fill you up.
Best Foods to Eat
Non-starchy vegetables…think green! Green vegetables are good for you and you can load up on them. They are low in sugar (which converts to fat), and are high in fiber and vitamins which will keep you feeling full. So try to add vegetables into every meal you can. It is one of the healthiest things you can do for body.
