My Story
Weight was not really a problem for me until I hit my 30’s.
After pregnancy, my body changed and it was just harder to lose weight for me. Being busy all the time made the goal of losing weight plain difficult.
I was discouraged and fed up with what I saw in the mirror. So after trying countless programs and exercise routines, I decided it was time to lose the weight for good.
That’s where experimentation, talking to experts and putting knowledge to the test came in.
Being a natural skeptic, initially I almost doubted that I would ever get to my goal. However, I eventually managed to lose 37 pounds and have learned to keep it off.
Therefore, that’s really why I started this blog…to share what I’ve learned and researched. I want to help others learn how to lose weight and keep it off for good.

The Struggle Starts Early.
Many times, the issue with weight begins well before seeing the long term results of overeating the wrong foods. As kids, we live what we see and are exposed to.
So if we grow up surrounded by processed, convenience foods and lack of physical exercise, that will be all we know when we venture out into the world on our own.
We live in a time of stress, hurry and being over-scheduled. It is important to learn how our bodies use food to function.
Our bodies work hard for us. It’s only fair to treat them well to maximize the efforts, right?
And after dealing with the pandemic for the past few years, I think a lot of us realize just how important it is to prioritize our health.
As children, we may grow up listening to a lot of “diet” noise around us. Maybe you heard about someone in your family always on a diet, or a friend who was constantly complaining about their body flab. I know I did.
The Diet Noise
Just flip on the television or look at a magazine and you will be hammered with ads to look a certain way or lose that last five pounds.
These sorts of messages along with the influences we are surrounded with can create poor body image. Studies show that most Americans are unhappy with their weight.
These statistics are only getting worse as our lifestyles get busier. With the non-stop social media images and outside influences, it’s no wonder so many people are obsessed with trying to find weight loss solutions.
If you’ve ever been on the weight loss roller coaster, there is good news. You can find ways to lose your belly fat and slim down comfortably.
You can find ways to boost your metabolism and feel healthier. Each person is different in what will work for them. Results will depend on your efforts.
But finding something sustainable that works is always best.
The more you learn, the easier it will become. Knowledge is power!

I now believe that health is the most important asset we can own. It’s all in the lifestyle you live and it shouldn’t be defined by a number on the scale.
How you feel overall is what’s most important.
You should never strive to look like a celebrity picture because that’s not real anyway. Think Photoshop and airbrushing! The goal is to look in the mirror and like what you see.
And hopefully in the process you will slim your belly down to what’s comfortable for you as well.
In addition, when you develop a healthy lifestyle, your mind tends to follow in the same footsteps.
